The piece is called “Let’s Iron”.
I was inspired by dadeumi, a traditional Korean method of ironing clothes that uses wooden batons and wooden or stone boards. Dadeumi has been an important part of Korean heritage for many centuries, not just as a chore, but as a social and cultural practice. The chore that can be seemingly boring and mundane becomes fun and exciting when distinctive rhythms are added to the fabric-beating activity while sharing the communal experience with neighbors.
